Turnip Curry

Prepare the spices and seeds
In a frying pan, dry roast the almonds, coconut and seeds for 1-2 minutes. Remove and grind to a paste in a mortar and pestle. Add to the yoghurt, the paste and the spices and mix well.

Cook the curry
Peel the turnip and chop into small pieces. In the frying pan, add the olive oil and add the onions. Sauté until light brown. Add the turnips and fry for around 5 minutes. Add the yoghurt paste and continue to fry for around 4-5 minutes. Add the water and cook over a low heat until the turnip is tender and the sauce has thickened. Add salt to taste if required.
