2 lbs turnips
1 tbsp olive oil
freshly milled black pepper
Cook the turnips
Preheat the oven to 400oF. If using larger turnips, peel and chop into large cubes. If using baby turnips leave whole. Put into a baking tray, drizzled with olive oil and thoroughly toss making sure all pieces are coated with oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Put in oven and bake for 30 minutes until turnips are tender and lightly browned.
